It has been said there are only two types of people; the Informed and the Uninformed. Nowhere is this more prevalent than in the area of tax planning. 

Dempsey has spent the last 34 years helping Business Owners significantly increase their  income by maximizing overlooked and under utilized tax strategies. As a Managing Director of Redwood Tax Specialists, he has assembled the finest team of tax strategists in the industry.  His team incorporates a holistic approach to planning that explores every opportunity to maximize tax savings.

He is the President/CEO of Tax Advantage Planning, LLC and a Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow (LUTCF). He holds certifications in Personal Estate and Retirement Planning, Disability, Business Insurance and Advanced Business Planning.

Dempsey attended Wofford College and graduated from the University of South Carolina Business School with a major in finance (1977). He is a Eagle Scout recipient and a member of the Order of the Arrow. 

He spends his leisure time hiking in the Blue Ridge Mountains, cheering for his Gamecocks and  grilling out. He even uses a “secret recipe”, fifth-generation bbq sauce, called Hammond's Hog Heaven.
